Win a Skincare System Sure to Give Dirt the Brush Off ... FREE

By Charlotte on November 22, 2013 1:59 AM

I'm a big believer in soap and water. First thing every morning, last thing every night, I wash my face by rubbing on a cleanser and splashing it off with water. After all, to have healthy-looking skin, you have to keep it clean.

They've joined us to give away their pulsaderm Facial Cleansing Brush (an $89 value). This automatic cleaning system uses an advanced, patent-pending pulsation technology to gently rid skin of dirt and oil.

We've teamed up with VB Beauty to giveaway their pulsaderm Facial Cleansing Brush ($89 value).* This automatic cleaning system uses an advanced, patent-pending pulsation technology to gently remove dirt and oil from your skin.

Read on for details on how to enter. Contest ends Dec. 13!

What the Experts Say

Pulsaderm removes dirt, impurities and oil from the skin better than manual cleaning. It stimulates and invigorates skin through the sonic movement of its brush head in combination with the unique concave shape of the brush bristles. The brush revolution is designed to cleanse those "hard to reach" contours around the nose, eyes and mouth without splashing.

What I Like

This handy appliance works with your favorite cleanser and water. You just dampen your face and the brush, put cleanser on your face and let the brush gently massage away the grime. Ahhhh!

Face_Brush_Front__90002_1381463705_800_800.jpgPulsaderm is sensitive-skin friendly. If your face is prone to redness like mine, you can choose a slower pulsing speed (it offers three) and use a brush head designed to prevent irritation. It comes with three different heads (sensitive, regular and body).

Besides helping fight blemishes, this automated deep cleaner improves your skin's ability to absorb moisturizers and other skincare products. It also gently exfoliates so you can easily bid adieu to dead skin cells. That's a big help every day but I especially appreciated it recently when decongestants sent my top lip into a peeling frenzy. Pulsaderm took care of that problem fast.

You can use it on your face, neck and décolleté. And it comes with an ac adapter and charging stand as well as a cool, black carrying case great for storage and travel.

Prepare your own Mexican quick fix with this Chipotle-inspired bowl. Carbs are moderated by filling the bowl with beans, extra veggies and chicken. No need for rice, since the beans count as carbs.

Tips:

If you love tomatoes, increase the quantity to 1/2 cup, but note that the carbohydrates will also increase.

If preparing this recipe for one person, cut all of the ingredients in half. Or simply prepare the full recipe up to the end of step 2 and store leftover chicken and vegetable-bean mixture in separate airtight containers in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Reheat in the microwave on High for 1 to 2 minutes, or until heated through, and continue with step 3.

Health Bite: The iron, calcium, magnesium, manganese, copper and zinc in black beans help to keep bones strong and healthy.
