Fargo Season 3

By Bob on March 30, 2017 3:35 AM

When Charlotte asked if I was interested in Season 3 of the FX black comedy-crime-drama series Fargo, I answered, "Yah. You betcha."

It was an easy call. Fargo Seasons 1 and 2 were must-watch TV here at Boomer Brief HQ. I've been waiting for Season 3 for almost a year. On April 19th the wait is over.

Fargo Season 3 on FX

Fargo Season 3 - 600.jpgThe third season is set in Minnesota in 2010. Ewan McGregor plays the dual lead roles of Emmit and Ray Stussy, Emmit's the Parking Lot King of Minnesota - a real estate mogul and family man.

His younger brother (also McGregor) is a balding and pot-bellied parole officer with a chip on his shoulder. He blames Emmit for his misfortunes.

Season 3 will serve up 10 episodes helmed by Noah Hawley, the originator of the FX series. Hawley's a master talent at maneuvering the quirky North Country terrain first created by brothers Joel and Ethan Coen. For the past two seasons, every episode has been edge-of-your-seat television.

If you've missed Seasons 1 and 2, don't ignore Season 3.

Each Fargo season possesses its own self-contained narrative, following a unique set of characters in various settings, albeit in a connected shared universe. You won't be confused. But trust me, you will be hooked.

Fargo Season 3 begins its run on FX beginning April 19th.

And Charlotte and I will be watching.

You betcha.

Interesting drink. A song we can't get out of our heads...it could be anything. It's all about discovery and the stuff that makes us happy. So, step inside our world and let us show you around. Don't mind the dust, the housekeeper comes on Thursday.

Prepare your own Mexican quick fix with this Chipotle-inspired bowl. Carbs are moderated by filling the bowl with beans, extra veggies and chicken. No need for rice, since the beans count as carbs.

Tips:

If you love tomatoes, increase the quantity to 1/2 cup, but note that the carbohydrates will also increase.

If preparing this recipe for one person, cut all of the ingredients in half. Or simply prepare the full recipe up to the end of step 2 and store leftover chicken and vegetable-bean mixture in separate airtight containers in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Reheat in the microwave on High for 1 to 2 minutes, or until heated through, and continue with step 3.

Health Bite: The iron, calcium, magnesium, manganese, copper and zinc in black beans help to keep bones strong and healthy.
