We're Celebrating the Opening of Our New H&M By Giving Away $300 in Gift Cards

By Charlotte on August 24, 2012 1:29 AM

Pearls 300.jpgI'm obsessed with finding trendy fashions at rock-bottom prices. Normally, that means carrying a really big bag loaded with coupons, being aware of all the sales (you gotta love e-mail!) and having a strict no-cutting-tags-in case-of-a-price-adjustment policy. Whew, that's work!

But as of Aug. 30, my life gets a lot easier. That's when H&M, one of the world's largest retailers known for offering fashion-forward apparel and quality basics at value prices, comes to our backyard. Well, close enough anyway.

The style-setting superstore's seventh Texas location will be at DFW's Grapevine Mills Mall, only a short hop from our very own Colleywood.

Looks like I just found a whole new reason to shop the largest outlet mall in north Texas.

Costume jewelry like H&M's gorgeous, pearl-and-crystal bib necklace ($17.95) is on-trend for fall.

To celebrate, H&M is:

The H&M at Grapevine Mills will feature collections for women, men, younger women and younger men with separate "store within store" sections for accessories, lingerie, maternity and sports apparel. This location will also carry the Swedish retailer's plus-size line, H&M+, as well as children's sizes from newborn to 14.

Prepare your own Mexican quick fix with this Chipotle-inspired bowl. Carbs are moderated by filling the bowl with beans, extra veggies and chicken. No need for rice, since the beans count as carbs.

Tips:

If you love tomatoes, increase the quantity to 1/2 cup, but note that the carbohydrates will also increase.

If preparing this recipe for one person, cut all of the ingredients in half. Or simply prepare the full recipe up to the end of step 2 and store leftover chicken and vegetable-bean mixture in separate airtight containers in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Reheat in the microwave on High for 1 to 2 minutes, or until heated through, and continue with step 3.

Health Bite: The iron, calcium, magnesium, manganese, copper and zinc in black beans help to keep bones strong and healthy.
