IT Cosmetics Travel Essentials

Next weekend, I'm flying to Florida to visit my sister Pam. My mom Patsy is also making the trip but she's driving. That means she has the luxury of taking four suitcases on last count compared to my one. (No, she's not moving in!)

For a split second, I was jealous of all that packing room. Just think how many pairs of shoes I could bring. But no worries, thanks to the anti-aging skincare and beauty pros at IT Cosmetics, I won't need anywhere near that much space. They've come out with convenient, grab-and-go sizes of some of their best sellers.

My top picks for maximizing beauty while minimizing the space needed in your travel bag include a combination of travel- and full-size gotta have 'ems from IT:

Your Skin But Better CC+ Cream - This award winner hydrates, smooths your skin and enhances brightness while camouflaging imperfections and providing SPF 50+ sun protection. ($15)

Bye Bye Under Eye Concealer - An anti-aging, waterproof concealer perfect for Boomer Babes. It brightens, evens skin tone and covers dark circles while reducing the look of fine lines and wrinkles. ($10)

Brow Power Universal Eyebrow Pencil Mini - This budge-proof formula adheres to skin for long-lasting results. That's a must for us brow-challenged girls whose natural hairs are practically invisible. And the color works for everyone because it adjusts based on the pressure applied. Amazing! ($12)

No-Tug Waterproof Gel Eyeliner - A creamy, full-size eyeliner pencil packed with anti-aging ingredients that diffuse the look of lines while nourishing the eyelids. Clinically shown to be waterproof even after 12 hours of wear, it stays on whether you're sweating or swimming. ($22)

Confidence in a Cream Travel Size - This concentrated complexion rescuer combines collagen and hyaluronic acid to plump skin and fill in lines and wrinkles. It's a wonderful daily moisturizer. ($16)

Superhero Mascara - Made with Elastic Stretch Technology, this full-size eye opener wraps each lash with volume-boosting, lengthening and conditioning color. And the super-black formula is packed with powerful anti-aging ingredients. ($24)

Heavenly Luxe Flat Top Buffing Foundation Brush #6 - Loaded with Heavenly Luxe synthetic hair, this handy brush makes short work of applying loose and pressed powders. It helps you build beautiful coverage while blurring the look of pores, fine lines and wrinkles. You gotta love that! ($48)

IT's Your Brush Love Mini - A fast-drying solution that instantly cleanses and conditions your brushes in one step. It helps you take care of them at home and on the go so they'll last longer. ($12)

Je Ne Sais Quoi Lip Treatment - An anti-aging lip therapy that revs up both hydration and your natural lip color. It practically eliminates lip lines and includes special pigments that react with the warmth of your lips to reveal your perfect, natural shade of pink. ($24)

All these IT travel essentials are available at ITcosmetics.com and ULTA.com.

We'd like to shout out a big "Thank You" to IT Cosmetics for providing free samples for review and testing.

Prepare your own Mexican quick fix with this Chipotle-inspired bowl. Carbs are moderated by filling the bowl with beans, extra veggies and chicken. No need for rice, since the beans count as carbs.

Tips:

If you love tomatoes, increase the quantity to 1/2 cup, but note that the carbohydrates will also increase.

If preparing this recipe for one person, cut all of the ingredients in half. Or simply prepare the full recipe up to the end of step 2 and store leftover chicken and vegetable-bean mixture in separate airtight containers in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Reheat in the microwave on High for 1 to 2 minutes, or until heated through, and continue with step 3.

Health Bite: The iron, calcium, magnesium, manganese, copper and zinc in black beans help to keep bones strong and healthy.
