OK, I am officially ready to get my Claus on. Christmas is coming early this year thanks to Bill Murray and Netflix.
Lemme 'splain. In a stroke of brilliance, Netflix conned kidnaped convinced Bill Murray to star in an all-star musically-driven holiday special, A Very Murray Christmas.
It's set inside New York City's iconic Carlyle hotel, where Murray is preparing to host a live, international holiday broadcast. After a blizzard shuts down the production, he makes the best of the situation by singing and celebrating with friends, hotel employees and anyone else who drops by.
The premise sounds a little like one of the plot lines from Murray's other iconic holiday offering, Scrooged, but that's not a bad thing. And to make things even better, A Very Murray Christmas reunites him with his Lost in Translation director Sofia Coppola, and an all-star cast that includes Chris Rock, Amy Poehler, George Clooney, Jason Schwartzman, Paul Shaffer, Rashida Jones and Maya Rudolph.
Now THAT'S a package I can't wait to unwrap.
Netflix Streaming will have the special beginning Dec. 4.
